Swedish Body Massage with A&P (Anatomy and Physiology)

Professional instruction in both Swedish Body Massage including Anatomy and Physiology. Ideal for those wanting to offer a relaxing massage and advance into Holistic and Complementary treatments.

Course Content:

• Understanding the basic functions of the body (Anatomy and Physiology)
• Systems and functions of the body
• Description and use of the classic massage movements: effleurage, pettrisage, tapotement, hacking, cupping etc
• Practical application of Swedish Massage
• Therapeutic use of massage
• Physiological and psychological effects
• Salon marketing, costing and timings
• Hygiene, health and safety
• Product and equipment knowledge
• Contraindications and precautions
• Client consultation and aftercare

Requirements: No previous experience required. All products, equipment and practical models are provided throughout. A written test will be completed at the end of the course, together with case studies and practical assessment.

Cost: £345 includes both training at the academy (3 days) and home study (4 weeks).
